Human service organizations in Union are business concerns that address the human condition rather than producing a product. Such organizations provide programs of service to address the needs of individuals, groups, and communities through the planning, provision, and evaluation of a wide range of services to prevent personal, interpersonal, community, and social problems. Human service organizations adopt their purpose from societal needs and priorities at any point of time.

Some human service organizations in Union focus on a specific set of services, like- mental health or child and family services, education, legal issues, health care services etc; while, some of those provide a number of services.
