The auto plate of an aircraft, car, bus, motorbike or tram is the front window. Modern auto plates in Valley Vieware generally made of laminated safety glass, a type of treated glass, which consists of two (typically) curved sheets of glass with a plastic layer laminated between them for safety, and are glued into the window frame. Motorbike windshields are often made of high-impact acrylic plastic.

A window, in Valley View, is defined as a transparent or a translucent opening in a wall or door that allows the passage of light and, if not closed or sealed, air and sound. It is usually glazed or covered in some other transparent or translucent material like a float glass. Windows are held in place by frames, which prevent them from collapsing in. Many glazed windows may be opened, to allow ventilation, or closed, to exclude inclement weather.
