Take-out, aka take-away food services are fast catching up in Washington. Typically they would mean the customers to eat out, as opposed to eating inside a restaurant. They are usually domestic, small food outlets that serve traditional food and popular local cuisines in Washington. They are convenient facilities for customers to order food online or over the phone. Food may be collected from the outlet, or delivered on one’s doorstep.

With the food industry increasingly taking to the web, there has been a sudden spurt of these take-out services. They are usually small enough to accommodate only a kitchen and take-away window to parcel food, and may or may not provide table service.

Quality of a take-out food unit may not always be of rank. Contrarily, some may even compromise with it while serving a large customer-base.

Foods that are commonly available in these service units are sandwiches, kebabs, steaks, wraps, pizzas, sausages, Chinese/Thai/Korean/South Asian side dishes, and other quick snacks.

Today, when every 1 in a 2 is racing against time and wouldn’t care to indulge in a time-taking, filling breakfast/lunch/ dinner, the take-out food facility is a boon. It is not too difficult to spot a take-out in one’s city, and grab a quick bite. The food is commonly eaten out of its package on the street.
