Aguanga is a census-designated place located within the Inland Empire, Riverside County, California. It is located 22 miles south-southeast of Hemet. Aguanga lies at an elevation of 1955 feet.    It had a population of 1,128 as of the 2010 census. This area is in Temecula Creek canyon that lies between Pechanga tribal lands and the San Diego County line.

The community of Aguanga lies at the intersection of State Route 79 (SR 79) and State Route 371 (Cahuilla Road), along the historic Butterfield Overland Mail stage route. The town is north of Cleveland National Forest.
