A town in the Preston County, West Virginia, it is located along the Cheat River. Located near Albright is Virginia Furnace which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Residents are engaged in tourism and agriculture. The 2000 census recorded a total of 247 people in the small town. While there were about 113 housing units, the racial make up was more than 98% white people. Almost 28% of the families and 26% of the population residing in the town were below the poverty line.
