Albuquerque has one or more farms. These are areas of land devoted to agriculture and related occupations. The sum total of the land and the buildings that stand on it are known as the farmstead. While food production is the basic function of farming, cash crops are used in production of fabric, animal feed and increasingly significantly, fuel.
