Alma is a city in Harlan County, Nebraska. It is the county seat of Harlan County, and its population at the 2000 census was 1,214. Alma was the name of the daughter of one of the first settlers in the area. The Harlan County Reservoir is located near Alma. The population predominantly comprises White Americans.
