Alpine is a small community village of Dekalb County and is located on the northeastern part of Fort Payne. Most of the residents are primarily agriculturalists. Another community village of the same name lies in the County of Talladega. It is quite famous for its YMCA's Cosby camp. The place has been named after a Alpine plantation of the Welch family. Growth arrived in the town with the growth of the Alpine cultivation.
