Ames is an unincorporated community in southern Dodge County, Nebraska. Its population as of 2011 is 370 people.
It lies along U.S. Route 30 to the west of the city of Fremont, which is the county seat of Dodge County. It is situated at an elevation of 1,277 feet.
The population predominantly comprises White Americans. A significant portion of the population comprises people of Hispanic origin.
