Located in the Contra Costa County of California in the US, Antioch is a suburb of San Francisco and Oakland.The 2010 US Census recorded the population at 102,372 which was estimated to have risen to 110,542 in the year 2015.

The racial makeup comprised of 48% White, 17% Afro-Americans, 0.9% Native Americans, 10.5% Asians, 0.8% Pacific Islanders and 14% of other races.
The entire area of Antioch covers a distance of 75 kms2 of which 73 km2 is land and 1.8 km2 is water. Antioch has hot dry summers with mild winters and moderate rainfall. Coal mining alongside farming and dairying, formed a substantial business here.
