Dr Montemayor was born in Monterrey, Mexico but migrated with her family to the United States during early childhood. She has lived in Michigan since 1989.
She studied microbiology and immunology at the University of Michigan, where she participated in cancer research. Dr. Montemayor attended the University of Michigan for medical school and completed her pediatric residency at CS Mott Children’s Hospital (now Michigan Medicine).
Dr. Montemayor prides herself in not only practicing evidence based medicine, but also practicing shared decision making with the parent and child. Her interest in pediatric clinical care spans the entire age range of pediatric medicine, from newborns to young adults. She enjoys not only sharing anticipatory guidance at well child checks, but also helping parents and their children navigate and thrive beyond any chronic illness.
Dr Montemayor lives in Ann Arbor Michigan, with her husband and 2 sons. She enjoys watching Michigan athletics (Go Blue!), travel, reading, cooking, and taking her dog for walks.
She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys seeing both Spanish and English speaking patients.
