Bayard is a small town of Grant County in the state of West Virginia. With a total area of about 1 sq. miles., Bayard is located at an elevated height of about 2345 ft. above the ground level. Coal mining is one of the principal economic activity of the town and a large number of local inhabitants are engaged in this sector. Some are also involved with other related industries in the region like stores and shops. The education sector is quite developped and serves the student community of the town.
