Beach is a city in and the county seat of Golden Valley County, North Dakota. The city was first settled in 1900, and named after an Army man, Captain Warren C. Beach. It was incorporated in 1909. Beach was made county seat in 1912. It has a total area of 1.8 square miles, all of which is land. The city lies along the state border with Montana.

Retail trade, tourism, educational services and construction are the major commercial activities here. Golden Valley County Museum is a local attraction. Public schooling comprises one elementary and one high school. The closest hospital is the Glendive Medical Center, located about 41 miles away in Glendive, Montana. Beach Airport is the local airport. Bank of the West and First State Bank of Golva have local branches. The cost of living here is 20.80% lower than the country average.
