Beech Mountain is probably the highest town located in the eastern part of the Rocky Mountains. Beech Mountain is one of the higher peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With a total area of about 17 sq. kms., it is located at an elevated height of about 5500 ft. from the ground level. Beech Mountain is located on the eastern part of the river Mississippi. Most of the inhabitants are engaged with tourism and the agricultural sector, while few with the education sector.
