Berlin is a town in Worcester County, Maryland. Its population at the 2000 census was 3,491.
The town has been undergoing a major restoration and revitalization project. 47 of the structures in town that reprsent various architectural styles have been noted in the National Register of Historic Places as well as the historic commercial district. Berlin has also been designated as a "Main Street Community" by the State of Maryland in recognition of its revitalization progress.
The Atlantic General Hospital is also located here.
According to the 2000 census, the town was 63.74% White, 32.03% African American, with the remaining being people of other races.
