Berwick is a town in York County, Maine. It is beside the Salmon Falls River. Its population at the 2010 census was 7,246, and it is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area.
The Hackmatack Playhouse was founded in 1972 by S. Carleton Guptill. His farmstead had buildings dating back to the seventeenth century. The Playhouse is still operational.
The town population predominantly comprises White Americans.
