Located in the San Bernardino County of California in the US, Big Bear City is surrounded by the Big Bear Lake and San Bernardini National Forest. It is 43 kms northeast of the city of San Bernardino. It covers an estimated area of 83 km2, most of which is land and is elevated at an height of 6773 ft. above sea level. The 2010 US Census reported its population at 12,304 with a density of 384 per square mile. The racial makeup was reported to be comprised of 75% White, 0.7% Afro-Americans, 1.6% Native Americans, 0.8% Asians, 0.3% Pacific Islanders and 8.9% of other races. The city has many large companies and home-based businesses operating on its turf. Some of the major industries of the place are aviation, automotive, industrial architecture, beverage, apparel, commercial printing, health services, metal, chemicals, real estate and logistics. It is an ideal location for international trade.
