Bittinger is a small community town situated in the northeastern part of the Garrett County in the U.S. State of Maryland. It is located on the western edge of the State River Forest of Savage. Bittinger lies along the state road route no. 495. It is located on the northeastern part in the city of Oakland.
Bittinger is also the County seat of Garrett. It is situated at an elevated point of about 2690 ft. Most of the residents are primarily engaged in the agricultural sector and other village industries.
