Non emergency ambulance services are available in Blue Ridge. Ths may be provided by one or more private players, in order to shift the patient, who may be chronically ill, but is not in immediate danger. The ambulance service may also be used when a patient is being transferred from one health center to another, or for patients who have certain disabilities. A licensed ground ambulance service is used by them. The arrangements are similar to the emergency ambulance services, but no lights or sirens are deployed. These ambulance are usually disability friendly, and have medication and facilities on board, should they be needed. Smaller ambulances,buses, taxicabs, shuttles, or limousines may also be used in Blue Ridge for non emergency medical transport.
