Boring is a small community town located in the County of Clackamas. It is located just beside the Oregon Road Route No. 212. Situated at about 22 miles southeast of downtown Portland, the timber industry is one of the prominent industries of the town. The traction company of Portland was an operator of railroads in the area. There is also a Museum of Industry and Science. Other key employers include Westcott's and Guide dogs training center for the blinds. Some residmets of the town are also involved in the field of tourism and the education sector.
