Brief Information About Brandon

Brandon is a town based in the Rutland County of state Vermont. The area is said to be rich in various types of natural resources and it also has some excellent farmlands beside the rivers. It is a source of abundant supplies of timber and minerals. The place flourished during the 1800s with several industries relying on the key ingredients of industrialisation, like waterpower, iron ore, marble among others. The building  of the railroad in the year 1849 helped in the development of manufacturing industry like shipping,  iron-based products and others such as the Howe scale,  Brandon paints, marble and wood products etc. Dairying, tourism and livestock became increasingly important and this ensured the economic survival of Brandon in the 20th century. Brandon has 70 miles of trails for hiking, biking,skiing, horse snowshoeing, biking, horseback riding, and snowmobiling. There are numerous camping sites across Brandon. Brandon is also famous for fabric artists, folk artists,  fabric artists, computer artists, workers in traditional decorative arts, watercolor, sculpture,  jewelry, pottery,  print makers, glass, and photographers. Numerous musical events are also held in the town, mostly in the summer and is said to be the biggest musical extraveganza.
