Brownfield is a town of Oxford County in the U.S. State of Maine. It is home to the Stone Museum Arts Center. Brownfield has a total area of about 46 sq. miles. Brownfield is situated beside the border of New Hampshire. The Saco river is located beside the town. The Historical Society Museum of Brownfield and the Arts Center of Stone Mountain is an important place to visit for tourists. Some notable residents of the town are Philo T. Farnsworth, P. Gibson and R.K. Goodenow. Farming is the traditional occupation along with other village and cottage industries.
