Located at an elevated height of about 49 feet, Bucks has more than fifty percent of white population. It is located on the north-eastern part of the County and is quite close to the river Mobile. A Power station in the name of James M. Barry Electric Generating Plant is located here. It produces electricity from coal and natural gas and is operated by a company named Alabama Power. Apart from the power plant, residents are engaged with other type of economic activities like small business.
