Bucksport is a small town of Hancock County in the U.S. State of Maine. It is a historic town across the river Penobscot. The Penobscot Narrows Bridge from Fort Knox replaced the older bridge. Bucksport has a total area of about 57 sq. miles and it is crossed by U.S. Route No. 1 and the State Routes of 3, 46 and 15. Places of interest are the Alamo Theatre and the railroad station of Bucksport. A few notable people of the town are C.D.Buck, W.Farnum and M. Kool.
