Located in the Northwestern part of Indiana, it is a part of the Metropolitan area of Chicago. With a total area of about 18 sq. kms., Burns Harbor is located at an elevated height of about 610 ft. from the ground level. The transportation facilities are quite advanced in the area with rail, road, water and air transportation facilities. The town also has quite a few educational facilities in the area. Apart from this, there are healthcare and tourism facilities in the region that serve the local community.</p>
