Caldwell is a city in and the county seat of Canyon County, Idaho state. Its population at the 2009 census estimates was 43,281. It is considered part of the Boise metropolitan area, and is home to the College of Idaho.

The city has a major hospital in the center of town, West Valley Medical Center. Other facilities inclde easy access to Interstate 84, Rail service, a large number of public parks and a world class skate park within the city limits.
