Carmel is a small town located in the County of Penobscot in the state of Maine. It is a part of the Bangor, MMSA. Carmel has a total area of about 96 sq. kms. and is located at an elevated height of about 160 ft. from the ground level. Most of the local population is primarily engaged with trade and tourism in the area. Tourism, healthcare and education are other related economic activities in the region.
