With an approximate area of about 42 sq. miles, it is a town of Rutland County in the State of Vermont. There are three district areas with many commercial stablishments. It also has a state college nearby. Lake Bomoseen is a scenic spot and attracts a large number of tourists with fishing as an added attraction. Castleton is also situated along the Amtrak rail route.
