Columbia is the state capital and the largest city of South Carolina. Columbia is the County seat of Richland County. With a total area of about 347 sq. kms., it is located at a height of 293 ft. above the ground level. There are a number of schools and colleges in the area employing many locals. There are a number of diversified industries in the area and are sources of employment for the residents of the town. There are also a few corporates with their offices located in the city, and employ a large chunk of the city's population.
