Cooks Springs is situated along Interstate 20 and U.S. Highway 78 having a distance of 6.3 miles west of Pell City. The unincorporated community of Cooks Springs is also known as Cook Springs or Polk in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is within St. Clair County. Once had a post office until November 19, 2011; regardless it has its own particular ZIP code, 35052. Cooks Springs was named for William Proctor Cooke, who settled here in 1854.
