<P>This place was named after a miner named Joseph Cooper, who discovered gold in the region. Cooper Landing has a total area of about 4 sq. miles. The local post office building is listed on the Register of National Historic Places. Cooper Landing is situated in the Borugh of Kenai Peninsula. Most of the inhabitants are engaged in seasonal economic activities. It is also well connected.</P>
