Located in the County of Wilcox, the city of Coy is situated at an elevated height of about 95 ft. from the ground level. It is located just at the bend of the river Alabama. There are a number of historic plantations in the area and the most famous among them is the Dry Fork Plantation. There are a number of places registered in the National Register of Historical Places. The town attracts a lot of visitors, which helps in the growth of the tourism sector in the area. Some are also involved with the education and the agricultural sector.
