Craig is the County seat of Moffat, with a home rule municipality in the region. The Grande Olde West Days is said to be the largest elk herds of North America. With a total area of about 13 sq. kms., Craig is located at an elevated height of about 13 sq. kms. Most of the local residents are primarily involved with seasonal adventure tourism like hunting and rafting. Tourism helps in the growth of all other small service oriented industries in the region.
