Records and tapes were the prime source of music in the past. Cassette players and record players were the medium through which these records and tapes were played. But as technology grew, the mode of playing music also changed. Now compact discs better known as CDs have replaced records and tapes. The compact discs are played through CD players. In Daly City, innumerable compact discs and CD players are being sold every day in music stores.
CD players are not only used in homes but also in music and entertainment industry in Daly City. A small number of records and tapes can still be found. Most of the records have been kept as antiques. There are many music stores in Daly City where these records and tapes can be converted to compact discs or CDs.
