A city located in the Sacramento County of California, Elk Grove forms a part of the Sacramento-Arden-Arcade-Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area, and lies just south of Sacramento – the State Capital.
With a total area of 42.23 square miles, the city supports a population of 153,015 as per the 2010 Census. The education system of the area is supported by the Elk Grove Unified School District which is also the fifth largest school district in California. It has 38 elementary schools as well as several middle, high and alternative high schools for higher education. There are also several modern public libraries in the city.
