Ellsworth is a small community town located in the County of Sheridan. It was basically developped as a Company town and quite famous for the Spade Ranch. It was mainly used for shipping cattle from Chicago through the railroad's of Quincy and Burlington.
Ellsworth covers a total area of about 92 sq. kms. with an elevation of about 3865 ft. above the ground level. A major part of the local residents are primarily involved with agriculture, cattle and dairy farming. Some are also involved with local education and the health sector and other allied activities in in the town.
