Located in the San Mateo County of California, Foster City is a beautifully planned city, considered a part of the Silicon Valley for its proximity and its flourishing local industry. The city got its name from T. Jack Foster who played the lead role in the city’s initial design and planning.
Spread over an area of 19.8 square miles, at a height of 7 ft above sea level, the city is home to more than 30,500 residents as per the 2010 Census.
It is one of the affluent cities and ranked 10th America’s top 25 towns by Forbes Magazine. Several big businesses have their headquarters in Foster City, and among the top employers are Visa, Life Technologies, IBM and QuinStreet.
