Greensboro is a city in and the county seat of Hale County, Alabama. It is part of the Tuscaloosa Metro Area. It is situated at an elevation of 290 feet, and it has a total land area of 2.38 square miles.

Public schooling comprises two elementary and two high schools. The city also has the Greensboro Historic District.
