Grissom Air Reserve Base is a United States Air Force base located in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is approximately 12 miles north of Kokomo in both Cass and Miami counties. It coordinates at 40°38′53″N 86°09′08″W operated by the 434th Air Refueling Wing. Grissom Air Reserve Base is the home of the largest KC-135R Stratotanker wing in the Air Force Reserve Command, units from the US Army Reserve and also the US Marine Corps Reserve. The elevation is 810.6 feet above sea level. Grissom Air Reserve Base was built by United States Navy on April 20, 1942 to April 13, 1943.
