What Is: Data Processing?
Houston has data processing applications and personnel available. This refers to the method by which computer programs are used to process, manipulate or analyze data (information about parameters or demographics, among others). Prototypical data processing applications include account processing softwares. This may include within itself a number of processes such as translating raw data and information into a usable form for summarization, decision making and reporting. Data processing includes check processing, credit card and payment processing, insurance or other claims processing, form and survey processing, lock box processing, data mining from source data, data extraction, data capture and cleansing, subscription and membership enrollment processing, among others. Accuracy, efficiency, adherence to deadlines and cost-effectiveness are needed for this work.
