Located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County in California, the city of Irwindale has relatively few residents. The total area the city covers is 9.6 square miles, with a population of 1422 residents as per the 2010 Census.
The city has plenty of rock quarries which earn maximum revenue for the city. It also has 17 sand and gravel pits. The city mainly developed owing to the Urban Development laws in the 70s and gradually prospered.
The city has its own Fire Department and Police department for its services. The major employers of the city include Southern California Edison and Nellson Nutraceutical.
