The city of Kamuela is in the name of U.S. Post Office name of Waimea. Kamuela is located in Hawaii County. It is the largest town and is located in the interiors of the big island, Hawaii. Kamuela is the center of all types of ranching activities and the Paniolo culture is also quite popular here. It is the headquarters of two astronomical observatories. Astronomical observatories are located at Mauna Kea. Kamuela has a total area of about 39 sq. miles. Major economic activities are based on agriculture, ranching and forestry.
