Stationers, in Lincoln Park, are usually referred to shops that sell a wide gamut of materials like paper and office supplies, writing implements, greeting cards, glue, pencil case, etc. As the name suggests, stationers are shops on a fixed spot and are usually found near schools or universities.
In earlier days, stationers were text writers, illuminators, bookbinders or booksellers who worked at fixed positions, and thus the name.
