Pahala is a small community town, rather a village, located in the County of Hawaii. It has a total area of about 2.3 sq. kms. The area is quite famous because of its sugar plantation. There is a large sugar factory in the region. Apart from agriculture, there are a large number of local educational institutes in the area which helps a large number of locals to get employment oppurtunities as well as learning and development services. Tourism is an important part of the local economic activity as well, followed by clinics, fire station, restaurants and others.
