Pike Road is located in the Montgomery county of Alabama and forms a part of the Montgomery Metropolitan Area. The town has a total area of 31.9 square miles with a population of 5406 as recorded in the 2010 census. It has seen one of the highest population growths in the state since 2000 when it recorded just 310 residents.

The town’s education system is supported by Montgomery Public schools. The town also boasts of a public library. Pike Road Post Office serves within the town's limits.
