Mass Transit is a transportation system which helps an individual to move from one place to another conveniently. Mass transit involves many types of vehicles such as buses, trains, etc. In olden days, mass transit in Pittsburgh involved horse-driven carts. In mass transit, individuals are taken in large numbers from one place to another at the same time. This mode of transport is comparatively cheap. Mass transportation or transit is usually undertaken by government or is owned by private concerns. Most transports have a time-table, and the service provided is frequent. However, some transports such as cabs, taxis are on demand and they charge the passengers comparatively more than the buses.
