Osteopathy is an alternative branch of medicine that studies the interrelationship between the structure and functions of the human system, and recognizes the body's ability to heal itself. The term 'osteopathy' was coined by Andrew Taylor Still, MD, DO.  Osteopathy is a  health care system that embraces the concept of the unity of the living organism’s structure, that is anatomy, and function, that is physiology.

In Sebring, osteopaths are health professionals who manipulate muscles and bones to promote structural integrity in the body to preserve health. Manipulative measures are often used in combination with conventional treatment.
