A census-designated place in the Yuba County of California State, Smartsville lies in the foothills of Sierra Nevada montains, 24 kms northeast of Marysville. It is a historic town and today it is California's Historical landmark.Smartsville covers an area of 1.9 km2, all of which is land.Like most other towns and cities of California, Smartsville too has a warm, Mediterranean climate.
The 2010 US Census reported its population at a modest 177 with a racial makeup of 88.7% White, 0.0% Afro-Americans, 2.8% Native Americans, 0.0% Asians, 0.0% Pacific Islanders and 5.1% of other races.
