Talladega is a city located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is the county seat of Talladega County nestled 50 miles east of Birmingham. Talladega total area is approximately 24.1 square miles at 33°26′5″N 86°6′5″W. An elevation of 558 feet above sea level. Talladega derived its name from a Muscogee (Creek) Native American word Tvlvtēke, a combined word of "town" and "border". It is home to the J. L. M.
