The city of Uniontown is located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is within Perry County with total land area of 1.3 square miles at 32°26′56″N 87°30′44″W. Uniontown is elevated by 299 feet above sea level. Originally known as Woodville, Uniontown was first settled in 1818 by the Wood family. It has four sites included on the National Register of Historic Places such as Fairhope Plantation, Pitts' Folly, the Uniontown Historic District, and Westwood.
